Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American performer and actor who made her name with smart raps that addressed sexuality and racial identities with a boldly comic perspective. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. When she was in high the school, she focused on the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She also studied Mandarin for a while in Beijing. After graduating, she began to focus on music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet and was later released on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in the year 2015, and was another project. With musician and author on her resume she began looking for acting in a third project. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors as well as Storks. Her breakout performances included Dude Ocean's 8, as well as Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
