Anamaria is a Romanian actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she won the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. She is fluent in French, German English, and Romanian. Her father, who is a theatre professor at one of Romania's top theatre schools, is an instructor in theatre. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. Additionally, she was a part in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries.
